Events 2013


The Rococo Players - Outdoor Shakespeare
10th - 13th July inclusive

This year The Rococo Players will be performing A Comedy of Errors each night, starting at 7.30pm. The grounds open at 6.00pm for picnics. More details on ticket prices and where to purchase will follow shortly.

Art in the Garden
1st August - 15th September

This year's exhibition opens on 1st of August and will run until 15th September. With over 80 unique pieces of sculptural work from some of the most forward thinking artists working today.

We have commissioned a number of unique pieces of work which will use the Rococo Garden as a foil to explore their themes, which will be exhibited alongside a wealth of contemporary sculpture which may be purchased. The Friends Film

Saturday 3rd August

The Friends of the Rococo Garden are hosting a one off film in the garden.
They will be screening Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The only film to have been nominated for every category at the Oscars.Cost: £5 per person Time: 7.00pm. Tickets for this event will only be available on the evening as the showing will not go ahead if the weather is inclement. Bring your own seating.

The Friends Picnic
Saturday 10th August

The Friends of the Rococo Garden are hosting a one off picnic for members and non members during the evening. A very special opportunity to bring your friends, a picnic and blanket and enjoy yourself. Cost: £5 per person Time: 6.30pm

RHS Buffet Evening
Tuesday 13th August

Exclusively for members of the Royal Horticultural Society an evening with The Director of the Rococo Garden looking at this years exhibition from Art in The Garden followed by a buffet supper in the Coach House. Cost £16,00 (£20.00 non RHS members). Time 6.00pm Book Online


The Handle Bards - Twelfth Night
Wed 14th & Thurs 15th August

Four actors, four bicycles, 40 characters and a 926 mile adventure. For two months the Handle Bards, a four-strong all male troupe of travelling players - will be cycling from  Glasgow to London carrying with them all the necessary set. props and costumes needed to perform some of Shakepeare's greatest plays.

What's not to love about these environmentally friendly, stark bonking mad entertainers? Join them as they performTwelfth Night, a comedy of love and mistaken identity, during Art in the Garden on two evenings. Tickets are £12.00 or £10.00 for concessions and available by phoning 01452 813204 or
book online. Booked tickets can be used on either evening in case of poor weather. Gates open 5.45pm, performance starts at 6.30pm. Bring a picnic, bring a blanket or chair, bring some friends.

Artist Festival Evening

Thurs 22nd August

Join a selection of our artist from this years exhibition for a series of highly inspiration pocket lectures. The evening starts at 6.30pm with drinks in the Orangery then simply use your pocket lecture timetable to make your way around the garden. Cost: £15 per person. Time: 6.30pm. Tickets can be reserved here.
