Learning at Rococo Garden

We offer many courses here at the Rococo Garden, some are for half a day, some for a day and others
run over several weeks. We have worked in conjunction with Box Court Plants and Gardens who operate the nursery at the Rococo Garden to bring a wide range of enjoyable courses. Courses can be booked on line if they display the symbol below which links to our booking office.

  

Botanical Illustration Courses

Various 7 week courses through out the year
We are holding a series of Botanical Illustration courses throughout the year. Each last for 7 weeks and they are held on a Wednesday morning. If you would like further information please phone 07810 725772 or email info@botanic-illustration.com.

One Day Garden & Flower Photography Workshop

Grafting Top Fruit     18th January

Working with our historic apple & pear collection this course is aimed at the beginner and more advanced alike.  Over the course of the day you will learn how to scion and bud graft. Materials are included in the price.


  


Willow Weaving Master Class  Thurs 5th April

Spend an enjoyable day with willow expert Norah Kennedy creating obelisk, hurdles and plant supports from natural willow.  The day is ideal for beginners and the more experienced alike.  Norah will share a wealth of tips and knowledge with you. Materials are included in the price.

  

Nectar Rich Planting Schemes   Thurs 12th July

Learn how to create planting schemes and what plants to use to encourage pollinating insects such as bees, butterflies and moths.  The day course is lead by award winning garden designer, Paul Hervey-Brookes who has carried out high profile public plantings specifically designed to create habitat.

Fruit tree training dates back to ancient Egypt. espaliers are highly decorative and ideal for the gardeners with limited space. Our 2 courses introduce the techniques needed for summer and winter pruning. Ensure you bring your favorite secateurs for a bit of hands on experience.

A practical demonstration using materials from the garden and countryside to create stunning and easy decorations for the house.  This course includes materials and lunch and is lead by award winning florist Jayne Morriss


  

 
Christmas Door Welcomes     Thurs 19th Dec

Spend the day with Jayne Morriss who will show you how to create stunning natural door welcomes.  All of the materials needed are included in the price along with a festive lunch.  Jayne will also spend time one to one to ensure you are filled with confidence.
