Things to do around Painswick

A visit to the Rococo Garden takes either a morning or afternoon, but there are plenty of places on our doorstep to see and explore to fill an entire day.

The surrounding hills and valleys are home to some intriguing myths and legends. Painswick is known as 'The Queen of the Cotswolds' but in the past she has had some dirty washing! Download the mysterious tales.

We hire out electric assist bikes from the Garden. These can be hired from just one hour to a day and are a great way of enjoying the local area. More information here.

We have also devised a series of circular walks and drives based on the Garden just for you.

Walk 1 - The Painswick Valley and Beacon (2.5hours)
Walk 2 - Laurie Lee's Slad Valley (2 hours)
Walk 3 - Cranham (2 hours)
Walk 4 - Edge and part of the Cotswold Way (2 hours)

Drive 1 - Painswick, Slad, Sheepscombe and Cranham
