Local artist Nick Pike is exhibiting a series of snowdrop paintings in our Cafe during January and February 2018.
All of the snowdrop paintings are inspired by the Garden and nearby fields in Painswick. Each artwork is created using different techniques, including sponges, wax carving knives and even cotton wool buds.
Along with original artwork, limited edition greeting cards will also be available for sale.
Galanthus Elwesii (pictured), a recent painting by Nick, depicts a species of snowdrop grown here in the Rococo Garden. Also featured will be the eye-catching 'Exedra' structure and other snowdrops found on Nick's Cotswold Natural Mindfulness walks. These monthly events are guided by Nick and focus on enhancing the senses. 'Perspectives of Painswick' will take place in February, starting from and returning to the Rococo Garden Cafe - click here for more details.
A full catalogue and time-lapse videos of Nick painting snowdrops are available on Nick's website, where you can find more details of his other work.
