We're into the final week of having Adrian Gray's stunning stonebalancing sculptures with us in our gorgeous Garden. They've been quietly delighting our visitors since the start of July, and we were lucky enough to have Adrian with us for a day to balance some sculptures - even featuring live on BBC evening news!
Adrian creates balancing sculptures using weathered stone, constructing and placing them in natural locations to capture their transient beauty. He comes to us fresh from the 2017 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where he won no fewer than five gold stars.
Over the past 16 years Adrian's work has evolved to include new ideas and themes, but the predominant feature remains the beauty and seemingly impossible and puzzling nature of balance. Adrian has made numerous television appearances, on The One Show, Grand Designs and BBC Coast to name a few.
Adrian said: "The Rococo Garden is an idyllic setting for my work because of its stunning mix of views, architecture and landscape. I'm excited to be able to bring my work to such a high-profile Garden - and of course I'm hoping to sell a couple of them."
There's no additional charge for the sculpture exhibition - so if you've not seen them yet, then make sure you come this week! They are scheduled to leave the Garden by Friday 8th September. For more information about Adrian, including video of live balancing, visit www.stonebalancing.com.
