Donate to our 2020 Emergency Appeal

Whilst we were closed during lockdown in the Spring, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen came to visit the Garden in support and recognition of our valuable work. We are now open, but we thought we’d share this lovely film we produced with him back in the Summer. Full details on how to donate can be found below the video…

On behalf of everyone at the Garden, we would like to thank those who have already donated and supported us through the Covid-19 crisis. These are challenging times for all of us, and as a charity funded solely through visitor admission fees and sales from the shop and cafe, we have experienced a significant negative impact on our income.

If you’ve kept up to date with us over the last few months, you will know that whilst the Garden was closed during lockdown in the Spring, our small team looked after this wonderful place by continuing to mow, weed, plant, maintain and preserve in preparation for welcoming you all back.

The need to safeguard this unique historical place has not gone away, and your support over the years has helped us to restore and protect the Garden for the benefit of the public, the local community, and future generations. This year has provided a timely reminder of the value provided by our Garden as a place to escape, explore and connect with nature.

We continue to achieve our aims of educating the public about the history of the Garden, along with raising awareness of natural history and horticulture through our community partnerships, conservation education and public engagement.

In order to continue this valuable work and safeguard the Garden for generations to come, we need a little extra help. We now head into winter with more uncertainty and reduced visitor numbers and are asking you for your help in reaching our £20,000 emergency appeal target.

We will be closing the appeal on 31 December and have made donating as easy as possible.
