Come and enjoy an introduction to basic monoprinting achieved without a press, with artist Carole Bury

Monoprinting is the production of a unique print. Through demonstrations and clear instructions you will create numerous prints and learn the fun and possibility of monoprinting which is very easy to continue at home. And the hunger to want more from this process!

You will be shown how to prepare a plate and handle the water-based ink. Carole will introduce you to gestural marks, papers, masks and stencils. You will have the opportunity to sample back drawing, direct drawing and relief printing. Inspiration will be provided with examples of artists’ prints and source material, and we have the use of the Garden to open our eyes.

This workshop costs £35 per person and this includes papers and materials, free entry to the Garden and refreshments.
