Disabled access

The Cafe and Shop are accessible to wheelchairs, and there is an accessible toilet on site.

The Garden was built in a hidden valley over 250 years ago and by its very nature has steep paths and uneven surfaces. We estimate that around 20% of the Garden is accessible to wheelchairs - our access routes map may help with planning your visit. To aid you there are handrails on the steepest slopes and there are 45 benches dotted around the Garden. We do not recommend attempting to visit the Garden with a motorised scooter due to the nature of the terrain.

Please feel free to ring us on 01452 813204 for further advice. We admit the carer of a disabled person free of charge.

The Garden is a gorgeous place for walking with well-behaved dogs on leads. There's always a water bowl available at the Coach House at the entrance to the Garden and a doggy snack in the Cafe.

Yes, dogs are also welcome in our Cafe and Shop too!
