Squishy. Sluggy. Goopy. Smelly. Sandy. FUN!

Looking for a family day out packed with imagination, adventure, and lots of laughter?

This summer, step into the wonderfully silly world of The Disgusting Sandwich — a brand-new interactive trail at Painswick Rococo Garden!

Join Badger and his friends on a garden adventure like no other…

As you journey through the magical 18th-century landscape, you’ll collect strange and silly items to create your very own Disgusting Sandwich.

Based on the much-loved book The Disgusting Sandwich by Gareth Edwards and designed by the book’s illustrator, local artist Hannah Shaw, this gloriously silly trail is perfect for curious kids and fun-loving families.

It’s the ultimate way to stretch little legs, spark imaginations, and make joyful summer memories.

Rain or shine, there’s so much to explore — from quirky Georgian follies to peaceful ponds, wildflower meadows, and shady woodland walks.

Refuel with something not disgusting!

After your adventure, relax in our café with homemade cakes, light lunches, and freshly ground coffee.
(We promise – absolutely no slugs included!)

The fun doesn’t stop there!

Get lost in our quirky maze.

Uncover hidden Georgian follies.

Come join us for a summer day out full of discovery, laughter, and a touch of Georgian magic. See you in the Garden!
