So much sun!  We were surprised to find ourselves looking at the forecast and being pleased to see rain on the horizon – we haven’t been saying that very much this year so far!  It has been optimum gardening weather (and garden-visiting weather – but let’s not go there #stayhome #staysafe) and Roger has been busy watering, weeding and mowing.  But there has also been some potting on and planting out, and Roger even found time to fit in a short guided tour of what’s looking good at the moment, which is better than hundreds of words here – click here to see it.

Since then, we have sent some of our finest tulips from the Exedra Garden to celebrate the work done by keyworkers in Painswick, who received a beautiful posy made up and delivered by Emma of the Bespoke Flower Company.  For pics have a look at our Facebook page.  We are also providing flowers for a number of local funerals as good quality cut flowers are currently very hard to get.  And given how warm it’s been, the citrus plants from the Orangery are now outside and basking in the late-afternoon sun outside the Bothy.  And yes, our mower is still holding up!

We continue to regularly review the position with regard to opening as the situation progresses.  Please check back here for updates or follow us on social media (links via the bottom of our home page).  Rest assured that throughout the closure, our priority will be to look after the Garden for the future.
