Working with two established local businesses, we are opening a collaborative pop-up shop in empty shop premises on Bisley Street in Painswick village centre.  Partnering with Handmade In- Painswick and our very own onsite plant experts, Exedra Nursery, this new venture will see a range of gorgeous local products on sale.

Open 11am-4pm seven days a week, “Handmade and Homegrown” launches on Thursday 9 May 2024.

Handmade In- Painswick represents local artists and artisans by showcasing and selling their work.  A range of stunning products will be on sale including pottery, glassware, textiles, jewellery, prints and paintings. All items on display are handmade within the Five Valleys area and represent the rich cultural and creative seam within our district.

The Rococo Garden range of jams, chutneys and juices made from the productive Kitchen Garden will feature, as well as honey from our own bees.  In addition, we will have bespoke items created by artists which reflect the stunning landscape and unusual features that make Rococo Garden one of the jewels in Painswick’s crown. And the ever-fabulous Exedra Nursery will offer a range of indoor and outdoor plants and garden-related items.

The shop opens at the historic Old Fleece on Bisley Street (almost opposite the Longfield Hospice charity shop) and will run through the summer months. This collaboration brings together three businesses who have much in common, each seeking in their own way to contribute to and develop the distinct rural and cultural life of Painswick.  It’s an interesting new destination for Painswick for both locals and visitors – please do pay us a visit.  A warm welcome awaits!
